Californians Must Recall Gavin Newsom

Newsom has failed to successfully manage the largest state budget in America!

Recalling Gavin Newsom is not about partisan politics and it’s not about how he handled the COVID pandemic. Recalling Gavin Newsom is about the fact that has done a terrible job managing a state with a GDP large enough to be a country. People need to set aside their party ties, forget about the ongoing feud between Dems vs Reps, ignore the wholly partisan members of Congress on both sides of the aisle, the liberals in Hollywood, liberal billionaires, the partisan VP, and look at the facts. The bottom line is that California has more money than any other state and still fails to delivery for the needs of Californians.

The facts begin with California having the highest GDP of any state in the union at $3.137T. That’s right, $3,137,470,000 or $3.1 Trillion. California’s GDP is larger than all but 6 other countries in the world. The California GDP provides the largest tax base from which to finance a highly effective state. The problem is, with all the money California has, Newsom fails to provide effective solutions across the broad range of Californian’s needs.

Along with the highest GDP, California has the highest average income tax rate, highest sales tax rate, and highest gas tax rate. So beside having the highest GDP to draw from, Californian’s pay more taxes than any other Americans. But even with having literally the most money to work with, Gavin Newsom is running the state of California into the ground.

First of all, the California cost of living is the second highest in the United States, second only to Hawaii. That means on top of the highest taxes, Californian’s simply pay more than almost every other state just to live in California. Highest income taxes, highest sales taxes, highest gas taxes, and nearly the highest cost of living. Apparently expendable income isn’t important to Californians because they have less expendable income than any other people in the United States. Now the sad part. Californians don’t get much back for all the money they provide for Gavin Newsom to manage.

California schools rank 38th out of 50 across the United States. Money apparently can’t buy education. Similarly, California roads are ranked 43rd out of 50 in the United States. Again, money doesn’t buy safe, reliable travel. Finally, California boasts more homeless than any other state. California’s homelessness rate is more than 160,000 homeless people and even with more money than any other state, Gavin Newsom is unable to address California’s homelessness.

Two other significant issues that plague California are water and forest management. Again, Gavin Newsom fails at both. Californians authorized $7.5B for watershed improvement in 2014 and while nearly all that money has been allocated, the first project doesn’t complete until 2022. The last project completes in the 2030s. Needless to say, efficiency and immediacy are not high on Gavin Newsom’s agenda. By the time these projects are complete, the water situation in California will have changed; likely gotten worse. His lack of immediacy leaves Californian’s burdened with continued drought issues.

Similarly, Newsom has failed to adequately manage the forests and as a result, firefighters are plagued with using antiquated methods to fight severe fires and Newsom’s only reaction is that global warming is the issue. Gavin Newsom has done nothing more than blame global warming while he has failed to lift a finger to research new technology, improve forest management, or take any proactive approach to the the effects of climate change within his state. He is simply a fiddling Napa winery spectator as he watches California burn from his Sacramento ivory tower.

So, with the most money to draw from instead of managing an effective state, over 250 businesses have decided to leave the state in 2021 and the 2020 census indicates people are leaving the state fast enough that California has lost a Congressional seat. Newsom’s leadership has failed to meet the needs of Californians which is why he’s been recalled. This is not a partisan issues, it’s simply a leadership issue.

On top of his failed leadership, Newsom would like to eliminate Proposition 13 to generate even more tax dollars from which he can fail to deliver. Similarly, he recently supported amending A.B. 455 to replace the original language which was meant to regulate lanes and tolls on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge but was amended to enable employers/businesses the right to demand vaccination certification. While both may be reasonable bills, supporting a bait and switch strategy is a disgustingly dishonest ploy any honest governor should despise, but instead Gavin Newsom supports those dishonest tactics.

Gavin Newsom is a dishonest politician who has had a king’s bankroll to manage the Golden State but has failed to deliver for students, parents, Californian’s, homeowners, and everyone else living or working in the state of California. It’s about the 182,000 people who left the state in 2020 and the loss of a House seat. It’s about the 265 businesses who left the state in 2021, and the year’s not over yet. It’s not about Democrats or Republicans, COVID masks or vaccinations. Recalling Gavin Newsom is about his inability to successfully manage California. He is an obvious failure who should be replaced.

As you talk about Gavin Newsom’s failed gubernatorial tenure with your friends and then head to the polls on September 14th, remember the failures listed above. Tell your friends and neighbors, the reason Gavin Newsom has been recalled is his failure to manage California. It’s not a partisan issue, it doesn’t involve liberals or conservatives, it’s about his inability to manage. He’s a failure and needs to be replaced which is one of the rights Californians can leverage, the replacement of failed elected officials.

Whether you’re a democrat or republican you need to recall the failed governor, Gavin Newsom. Set aside your partisan bias and think about preserving the grandeur and magnificence of the state of California. Gavin Newsom is a failure in so many ways. He is a failure who has had every opportunity and all the money any politician could hope for, yet he is unable to make the state of California the great state it can be. Businesses and citizens are leaving because California’s leadership is failing. My children are fourth generation Californian’s who love this state. None of us want to leave the majesty, beauty, and history of California. Replacing Gavin Newsom is essential to keeping California alive.
