I’m a Republican. I want to make that perfectly clear. I come from a family of Republicans. I have conservative values. I also see the need for some social programs. In the richest country in the world, no one should go to bed hungry, no one should live on the street, and the government should act first and foremost to protect the citizens. Unfortunately, the federal government and many state governments have other agendas. Or do they all?
The Democrat Party has an agenda, and it isn’t preserving your freedom. Let’s get straight to the point, they’re in it for the money. Just to be clear, I’m not talking about their paychecks. I’m talking about the power of taxation and directing the flow of tax dollars. The rest of their doublespeak is just part of the sideshow.
Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrat Party is just as oppressive as their founding president, Andrew Jackson, which is why I’m not a Democrat. Their beliefs from the 1820s regarding oppressed people have always been the same and remain the same today. The basic Democrat Party philosophy is that the government is in place to rule people. As part of that rule is the redistribution of wealth to ensure everyone has what the ruling government believes is best.
That philosophy is generally authoritarian and flies in the face of protecting life, liberty, and property. It is also a terribly racist philosophy that encourages segregation, and racism in the form of special treatment for some, and oppression of others based solely on skin color and ethnicity. The Democrat Party was originally the party of slavery. Now they are the party of Critical Race Study. The original party founders oppressed Blacks and today’s Democrats want us to believe the only way to overcome past racism, promulgated by the Democrat Party, is more racism.
As recently as the 1990s the Democrat Party fought for segregated schools, and now they fight for segregated safe spaces. The trend is obvious. They never support equality. They support equity, also known as communism. They support rights as they believe rights should be doled out by the ruling government, not inalienable rights. The Democrat philosophy goes something like this; we see inequality, the ruling elite will fix it, everyone must think the same way, diversity is only about skin color, the fix is the redistribution of wealth. Along with that redistribution of wealth, they direct tax dollars toward their donors who in turn pay them outside the political arena exorbitant sums for speeches, teaching engagement, to their foundations. It’s the finest quid pro quo system ever devised.
My concern, and an even worse problem, is that the Republicans don’t have a solution. The Republicans believe they just need to get elected, and everything will get better. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. In fact, many Republicans are on the same gravy train.
The great American experiment is near failure. Some believe it already failed. Maybe I’m an optimist, but I believe it can still be saved, but over the years the Democrats have watered down the essence of the great American experiment, and the Republicans have let it happen. Nobody is it for the People. Both sides are playing for the money. The difference is the Democrats do it overtly, the Republicans have a bit more discretion. Joe Biden isn’t involved with his son’s and brother’s businesses, but their relationships do provide access for their business associates to the entirety of the federal government, the policy makers and the policy enforcers. Tammany Hall has reached the White House.
The Democrat Party is now led by a man who is allowing his administration to provide special favors for foreign investors. Foreign investors who are closely tied to their perspective governments. It’s not against the law, yet the Republicans tilt at those windmills, making everyone believe they are here to defend truth, justice, and the American way.
When Hunter Biden is provided a job and the people who provide him that job get access to government representatives, it’s not against the law. It is disingenuous. It is a disgusting quid pro quo that Joe Biden is definitely part of, but it’s not expressly against the law. I worked for decades in management positions at various companies and not once did my father call in to one of my meetings. When Joe Biden has dinner with his son’s business associates or calls in to his son’s business calls, it’s not against the law. He can have dinner or talk to anyone he wants to. The question should be why does he lie about it? When Hunter Biden is given a job on the board of a Ukrainian company and then Joe and his Democrats propose a border bill that has more for the war in Ukraine than for the border, people should wake up and smell the graft, but again, it’s not against the law. And yes, we all know Hunter’s position has been vacated, but the ties live on. The question should be do we really want a president who is spending more on another country than protecting his own citizens within America’s borders? Worse, the Ukraine support package passed on its own, and the border bill was set aside.
There are currently about 600,000 homeless people in the United States. The number varies depending on which source you use. It could be higher, but for general purposes it’s likely somewhere between 600,000 and 700,000. For $60B, each homeless person could receive $40,000 to $50,000 for two years. Why isn’t Joe Biden spending $60B on our own homeless citizens? The simple answer is it doesn’t buy votes, it doesn’t provide his family members jobs, and the money can’t be spent on the businesses of his donors. Joe is not a criminal. He’s a politician who has figured out how to work the system to benefit his family and his donors.
On the other hand, the Republican Party is the milquetoast party. Oh, they’ve got people feeding foreign governments, too, but the real problem is they tilt at windmills to appease their base all the while accomplishing nothing. They not only don’t stand for anything, they are just as much on the take as their Democrat counterparts.
The only agenda they seem to have is opposing the Democrats. It’s a terrible agenda because it’s strictly defense. The Republicans have no game, no offense players, and definitely no playbook. That’s playing the game by the Democrat rulebook. It’s a simple way to appeal to the base and yet not stop the quid pro quo graft on either side of the aisle. The Republicans seem just a filthy as the people they claim to oppose, because the graft doesn’t stop with jobs for sons followed by tax dollars for governments. It’s about direct payments to certain industries ranging from defense to pharmaceuticals and insurance providers, just to name a few. The current system of government is designed with a quid pro quo basis. The Republicans are no more likely to upset that applecart than the Democrats. It’s terrible.
If the Republican Party wants to play hardball, they need to get some first-rate backs and receivers, because right now the only thing they’ve got is a bunch of milquetoast linemen opposing the Democrats’ game. And what’s the platform? Where are the solutions? No one is proposing the necessary changes. The current Republican regime simply wants to preserve the system, maintain the quid pro quo, and keep their jobs without rocking the boat.
It’s time to attack Joe Biden for all his failures. Instead, they just seem to piddle through the same trite issues that get zero mileage. Assertive Republicans would define the issues instead of defending against the issues defined by the Democrats.
The Democrats made race an issue with the 1619 Project and the death of George Floyd. They played those issues all the way to allowing unrest and claiming stopping the unrest was authoritarian. The Republicans responded with nothing.
The Democrats made abortion an issue. The Democrats defined abortion as women’s health care. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists defines abortion as “Essential Health Care.” Stories about women being forced to travel to other states to get abortions litter the news. The Republicans let the Democrats define the fight by not hitting back with questions about when abortion is essential health care. Clinton, Pelosi, all the Democrats talk about the right to abortion and yet never seem to define when abortion is necessary. The Republicans muddle along with an equally ill-defined and often oppressive agenda without definitive resolve. Abortion is a tough issue, but the Republican defense strategy lacks a middle road just as does the undefined Democrat “Individual Right” position. Both parties are a few marbles short of leadership.
The Clinton campaign paid for fraudulent documents to slander her opponent, Donald Trump. Under the Obama Administration, with plausible deniability intact, the FBI launched a covert effort to surveil the Trump campaign called Crossfire Hurricane. Like a dog with a juicy bone, the Democrats through Nancy Pelosi took that slanderous effort all the way to a Congressional Investigation that turned up nothing. The Democrats wrongly launched investigations into Trump’s allegedly nefarious relationship with Russia. They claim Trump is in cahoots with Putin. Yet, under Trump, Putin remained in check and under both Obama and Biden, Putin expanded his geographical holdings in Crimea and now Ukraine. Yet, the Republicans made nothing of all the covert investigations, overt investigations, and actual physical advances by Russia against Democrat administrations. Instead, as of late 2023, Congress has approved $113,000,000,000 in aid to Ukraine. That’s enough to pay every homeless person in the U.S. over $50,000 a year for three years. And then they capped that with another $60,000,000,000 this month.
The Republicans allow Joe Biden to continue doddering along as the Democrats are planning his withdrawal from the campaign. Joe Biden will not be the selected candidate at the Democrat National Convention. That’s another point Republicans must attack. The Democrats are about to trash the entire election system by throwing out the primary results and selecting a candidate who is not even running on the primary ballots. The Democrats don’t run by the rules, they don’t allow their constituents the right to select a candidate in open, free elections. Instead, they will raise a candidate this summer, and the Republicans will let them. The Democrats have shown a complete disdain for the election process, and they continue to do so. Worse, the Republicans continue to let them. The Republicans must use the same tools the Democrats use. The Democrats are waiting to time Biden’s withdrawal from the election so they can advance their new candidate on their own terms. The Republicans need to foil that plan by exposing it today.
A campaign with an offensive strategy would attack Joe Biden’s competency every day because it turns him into a raging old man who can’t control his temper. Expose their plan to replace him at the Democrat National Convention. Talk about it now so they know you won’t be surprised. Nothing worse than having your secret plan exposed. Put Joe Biden on the defense and watch him sputter.
Demonstrate he’s not a unifier. Expose how his executive orders and disregard for the border are diluting Americans’ voting power. Show how over the three decades from 1990 to 2020 the sanctuary state of California became a one-party state by condoning illegal immigration. We should help people around the world who are less fortunate because of their authoritarian governments. We should not allow the Democrat Party to use those people as tools.
Explain how California changed from a two-party state to a one-party state coincidental with the sanctuary city status of San Francisco and then the entire state. Use the demographics to show how it was done and explain that’s the plan for the entire country to get enough electoral votes to lock-in a one-party system at the federal level. Show how the Democrats for decades have used immigrants as pawns, tools, to advance their one-party agenda. That’s what the Republicans should do and need to do, but they don’t. Their own beds are lined with the same graft and the same quid-pro-quo as the Democrats. They’re just more subtle about how they support it.
Walk through the policy changes that drove inflation. It’s not good enough to say the policies were bad. Joe just comes back with his policies work and a bunch of contrived statistics. The Republican attack needs to explain how the cost of fuel drove other prices and inflation. Explain Joe’s job growth still hasn’t recovered the United States to pre-COVID employment. The data is right there, but the Republicans just seem to finger point rather than eviscerate with facts.
The Republicans must also answer every Democrat distraction with a firm response, and then create their own agenda. Instead, the Republicans insist on playing the Democrats’ game. The issues are about the Constitution #1, always on top. Next, have an answer on Democracy. The Democrats are slowly destroying democracy and all the while claiming the Republicans are the threat. On top of that, the Democrats have their merry band of celebrities who are totally unaffected by the destruction of democracy, the economy, abortion, and every other distraction touting their goodness and all the while people are losing rights and feeling good about it. The Republicans just whine about what the Democrats and have no game. Here’s the offensive Republican playbook they need to stand-up. These are the offensive attacks that need to be run on a continual basis:
- Afghanistan withdrawal,
- Not a unifying president, a divider,
- Not a communicator – too many mixed up comments,
- Using immigrants as tools to create a one-party system,
- Use of American tax dollars to fund Ukraine,
- Attack on the American People’s lifestyle by legislating against technology rather than embracing it,
- Policies that drive inflation,
- Weakness around the world that allows Putin to attack every time a Democrat is in the White House, when Trump was President, Putin was on good behavior.
Then the Republicans need to define the election agenda. The following issues are the issues Americans will get behind and support.
- Tax reform within the Constitution including budget limitations – the 16th Amendment is an open checkbook, expose spending as the Constitutional issue it is,
- Gun Control that supports 2nd Amendment rights and protects people, ballistics fingerprinting, mandatory sentences for gun crimes, meaningful background checks that do not encumber the law-abiding citizens, gun handling legislation that makes mishandling a crime,
- Abortion rights that protect women’s health and the unborn by talking specifics rather than the generalities the Democrats use to bait pro-life constituents,
- Race as an open topic that supports equality of opportunity, rather than allowing the Democrats to continue using people of color as political tools,
- America’s leadership on the world stage, and the end to using immigrants, soldiers, and foreigners as political tools,
- Unification behind democracy by defining American democracy rather than just throwing the word around,
- Immigration reform that addresses ALL immigrants; those here, and those wanting to come here, including immediate deportation with no chance for return for any immigrants waiting for citizenship who commit crimes,
- Homelessness with a real solution that integrates the homeless into society,
- Reducing college costs by stopping the unchecked price of textbooks and tuition,
- Reducing healthcare costs by stopping the unchecked cost of healthcare – not through regulation, but through economics,
- Reduced role of government and the reason state rights are so important,
- Saving the economy by not supporting inflationary policies as Biden has done and using real science to save the planet from toxic products.
The Republican platform could be assertive by proposing real changes that would support their claim as supporters of the U.S. Constitution. Until the Republicans stand up and play offense, the same trite rhetoric will prevail, our rights will erode, and socialism will reign, the Democrats will run an authoritarian regime while claiming democracy, and the Republicans will go on whining without resolve.
