Our Democracy is Under Attack

As Americans, it’s time to put away our angst, stop voting based on like, dislikes, and feelings in general. We need to stop listening to rich entertainers whether they’re just texting, on talk shows, or donating to candidates. We need to be smarter than the powermongers who are using divisive techniques to divide and conquer the United States.

Our freedoms are under attack. Our democracy may soon be gone. Our children and grandchildren may live under the rule of self-serving authoritarians who dictate our rights and limit our freedoms. Our freedoms have been under attack since the birth of our great nation, but the stakes are highest now because the long-term plan to limit freedom is nearly complete.

The United States was founded on the rule of the people, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Your rights are inalienable, or endowed by the Creator, or however you want to look at it because any other definition of rights imposes limitations of authoritarians. Rights are inherent to the human condition, but only if you can keep them that way. Every dictator, every authoritarian, every king, emperor, tsar, queen, and the list goes on, take rights as part of their authority. We are suffering that condition in the United States today.

We are yet to fully understand the entirety of being human and being free and what both mean, but we have come a long way, and the United States is the current steppingstone toward understanding that nexus. The problem we face is that instead of moving forward, we are on the precipice of falling into the pit of failed governments. If the next election falls into the wrong hands, our great nation will discard humanity’s progress and move back toward the safe ground where the rich rule over the poor, the elite dictate to the masses, the hard work of the people is spent by the bureaucrats, and freedom becomes a negotiable commodity rather than an inalienable state of existence.

The Democrat Party is attacking our freedoms like never before and many people are falling for their lies hook, line, and sinker. These attacks are coordinated. Sometimes it is done at the state level, sometimes it is done at the federal level. Voters must become aware of how their freedoms are under constant attack by a party that wants a single party system in America. It’s not a Dr. Evil plot to control the richest country in the world. It’s the Democrat Party’s plot to impose what they believe is the best society on the United States. They don’t know best. Our founders enabled a system where the People could be counted on to know best, but the Democrat Party is slowly and methodically taking away the power of the People and replacing it with their own brand of democracy.

The Biden Administration is using executive power to systematically attack the Constitution and people don’t even realize it’s happening. When the Biden Administration decided to pay off student loans it wasn’t out of compassion for those students. It was to test if the executive branch could take the power of the purse from Congress. At some level it was successful. Voters should be outraged that the Biden Administration was successful because that action opens the door for other similar power grabs. The Constitution puts the power to spend money in the hands of the People through their representatives. When the Biden Administration took some of that power, they set a precedent to do so in other areas in the future.

The Democrat Party has systematically attacked voting rights at the local, state, and federal level. The attempts to keep Trump off state ballots was not because those state officials are protecting your rights. It was a clear attempt to establish a precedent for who can be on a ballot. Many states also tried to keep other names off ballots all based on the accusation of an insurrection. Whether you believe the January 6th fiasco in the Capitol was an insurrection or not, using the Constitution to label candidates as insurrectionists without a formal trial goes against our core beliefs, but that’s what these states tried to do. Had they been successful, it would have paved the way for limiting who you could vote for in the future.

The same is true of Joe Biden stepping down and handing his nomination over to Kamala Harris. It is a direct attack on our freedom to elect the president. Kamala Harris never got a single vote in a primary election, and now she headed toward becoming the candidate for the Democrat Party. It’s shameful, but more important, it sets the precedent that anytime a candidate is losing in the polls, even though that candidate was chosen by the people in a fair election process, that candidate can bow out and hand her or his delegates over to someone more favorable. Elections are no longer free. Now a party can pick a candidate based on post primary polls.

Another example the Democrat Party wants to use to control voters is Roe v. Wade. When the Supreme Court decided in 1973 that the Constitution protected the right of abortion it created a new specific right not granted to the federal government. That was done by a court consisting of six justices nominated by republican presidents and three nominated by democrat presidents. The decision was 7-2 and the two dissenters were one democrat and one republican. By nomination affiliation it could be said a conservative court upheld the right of abortion at the federal level.

The Biden Administration now wants to change the Constitution because they don’t agree with recent decisions, those being striking down Roe v. Wade, and the decision on presidential immunity. While both deserve long discussions, the importance here is that every time a decision comes out of the Supreme Court the party in the White House doesn’t like, doesn’t mean we need to change how the system works. There are good reasons those decisions were made, and those decisions protect Americans’ freedoms. The changes Joe Biden will read off the teleprompter are not good reasons to change how our system works. Those two decisions are about state’s rights and congressional power. As a voter you need to understand the essence of the fights that goes far beyond the words politicians are using.

The truth of the matter is that the Democrat Party is the party of rich powermongers. For all the old rhetoric attacking their opponents on topics like not taxing the rich and protecting corporations, the Democrat Party is the party of power. They want to rule with the iron fist of an authoritarian, and they achieved that in the state of California. That state is not an idyllic society where everything is perfect, and the people are in power. That state has a homeless problem. Their big cities have crime and drug problems. If you define mass-shooting as three or more deaths rather than four or more deaths, they have more mass shootings than any other state. They have poor schools, high taxes, and poor forest management that results in out-of-control wildfires. They gerrymandered the state so that the poorest county and richest county are represented by the same Representative. How do you think that works out for the poorest county? They also provide some of the richest donations to candidates across the nation. Don’t let our great nation become an oversized California. There are better solutions for the United States.

The nation must become united in our stance against the attack on our government. This nation became divided when an outsider entered the White House. The Democrats went nuts not because he was trying to take over America, because they saw their long-term plan put in peril by a person who was not part of the plot. Voters need to see through the divisiveness and lies and understand what is at stake. Our freedom is at stake and the further attack of our freedoms by another Democrat is not the solution. We need to get back to respect for our institutions, the People, the Constitution, and American Democracy.
